MIROGLIO TEXTILE @ PREMIÈR VISION: fashion, heritage and sustainability
Held in Paris, Première Vision is the trade fair dedicated to fashion and sustainability, where Miroglio Textile took part to underline once again its dedication to innovation and sustainable production.
The brand’s commitment is demonstrated by its wealth of investments in increasingly sustainable textile printing technology, as well as the launch of a dedicated project to enhance and promote the brand’s heritage.
“On the one hand we are saving our heritage to enable us to transfer the essence of who we are, our roots and our know-how onto our clients,” commented Giuseppe Miroglio, President of Miroglio Textile. “On the other hand we are planning for the future with a constant drive for innovation and sustainability”.
Miroglio Textile invests in technological development so as to innovate its own production lines in a responsible manner. The digital printing department is one of the highest performing in Europe and guarantees a 50% reduction in water use on natural fibres (according to an LCA study validated by ICEA).
In figures, for every 100,000 metres printed the company saves 2.3 million litres of water compared to traditional technology: this is a significant saving, considering that 50 million metres of textile are printed every year.
Over the last year the company has also invested in new machinery to reduce the use of auxiliary chemical agents and to convert heat into thermal energy.
