Miroglio Texprint Award for Digital Innovation
New talent to maximize digital innovation in printing technology.
The prizegiving of the Texprint Award 2014 took place in September as part of Première Vision Paris fair. This is an important prize established by the Texprint association – an authoritative British organization that brings together representatives of the textile-fashion sectors, selects and promotes the best young designers from all textile design schools of the UK. The 2014 edition was characterized by the introduction of the prize “Miroglio Texprint Awards for Digital Innovation” born with the goal of rewarding the best talent able to make the most of the digital innovation in printing techniques and push his work to the line between technology and creativity, in accordance with the current strategic course of the Miroglio Group. The prize was assigned to the young designer Charlotte Hetheridge, who won with her screen printed designs created by optimizing the natural properties of a variety of basic fabrics inspired by symbolic figures like hawks, lace and ceremonial armor.
